Saint Rose was a beautiful girl who ever lived that’s why her parents called her Rose. As she become older she become more and more beutifuler. One day her mother put a wreath of flowers on her head to show off her loveliness to friends. But Rose had no desire to be admired for her heart had been given to Jesus. So she put a pin into the wreath and it pierced her so deeply, that she had a hard time getting it off. Another time she became afraid that her beauty might be a temptation, so she rubbed her face with pepper until her face was red and blistered. St Rose was the first canoinnised Saint of the Amircas. Siem saints travel all around the world but Rose became a saint without leaving her own backyard. Sant Rose was born in Peru and baptised in Isabel de Flores. When Rose was 14 years old she took Rose as her confirmation name. Rose did not have the opportunity to attend school, so she worked in the garden at home. She was born on April the 20tn 1586 and she died on August the 24th 1617 she was also canonised in 1672. Sang Rose set up a free medical clinic for poor children and elderly people who were ill. This free service became the beginning of a social service in Peru. In the last years of her life Rose became very ill. When she died at 31 he body got buried privately in tne cloistered part at St Dominic’s Church.
